Tazmaa has been my internet alias for as long as I tin can remember. My proper name is Valerie Ryan, I'yard a Canadian woman who has been working as a freelance anime art & graphic fine art commission creative person since 2003.

I draw mostly custom digital cartoon comic art & anime art, however I too practise many forms of graphic artwork including logo design, flyers & banners, booklets, special occasion cards & posters, personalized stationary and well... any odd little custom graphic analogy art or design related chore you tin come up up with!

I am easy to work with, friendly and I take pride in the details of my artwork.

I've been told on countless occasions that my art style is a mix betwixt Anime and Western Comic Art. Of class, beingness a huge fan of the anime manner of art, I ofttimes try to veer off to the more traditional Japanese manga style of anime art.

As my fine art manner matures I see it changing frequently and then who knows what volition influence my manner adjacent? I likewise dabble in realistic sketching. As I continue to draw I am constantly trying to aggrandize my artistic horizons and am enjoying seeing my artwork take on a beautiful illustrative style.

I've learned a lot in art school and even more through experience of doing custom art by commission for many different people around the world. I am eager to continue to run into what I can practice with my skills in design, fine art and illustration, even beyond the anime and fantasy realm.

Most recently I have enjoyed using traditional forms of media such equally line art with ink and painting with watercolor using a paint brush and professional person watercolor pigments. I am all the same learning.

I'g working on a projection to illustrate equally many purebred dog breeds as possible. The idea is to place them alongside a special career title that is motivation, silly and virtually chiefly: positive! Dogs are a major inspiration to living in a wholehearted way, and I aim to capture some of their wisdom with this projection and help share information technology with others.

So far I've got 3 breeds drawn, in multiple colors and have assigned their breed specific career titles:

Having graduated Visual College of Art & Design's Graphic Design program in Vancouver, BC 2012, I went on to go along working freelance doing commission artwork for people all over the world.

At this point I am proficient with several Graphic Art programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Dreamweaver. I also take the knowledge of preparing digital art for impress purposes, including working with spot colors, bleeds, crop marks and layout templates. Also preparing digital work for web use, interactive PDFs or ebooks and working with templates for the multitudes of social media graphics for use in business or personal channels.

My knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery gives me a unique advantage when working with clients for web graphics and effects.

I've been working on this project to illustrate a bunch of different domestic dog breeds and pair them to a career title that suits them. Dogs inspire wholeheartedness in then many people and I wanted to capture a niggling scrap of their carefree mischeivious nature in the naming of each dog's job title.
