What's New?

The updated What'due south New certificate has been released few days late on 1706/2014.  In that location are nine new features and unless I'thou missing the point, none of them are very impressive.  Nevertheless, in that location are tons of fixes (293 to be exact).

Installing Updates

I take installed the post-obit updates on my preparation server.

Updates Installed

• SBOP BI Platform 4.i SP04 Server
• SBOP BI Platform 4.1 SP04 Client Tools
• SAP BusinessObjects Explorer four.1 SP04

Environment

• Windows Server 2012
• 4x Virtual Processors (Hyper-5)
• xx GB RAM

Duration

Begetting in mind my training server originally started with a make clean installation of SP02 so patched to SP03 with 3x languages (English, French, Finnish), this is how long information technology tool to install everything.

one. As ever, the Preparing to install screen takes longer and longer…

2. This nautical chart shows the fourth dimension it took waiting for the Preparing screen to disappear then the installation fourth dimension.  That's right, nigh 2.5 hours (151 minutes) just to patch SAP BI Platform 4.1 SP04 Server.

3. Every bit ever, when you click Cease, do Not reboot direct away.  Await for setupengine.exe to become away in your Task Managing director.  This can take a infinitesimal or so.

Decision

It's still early on days and at that place are couple of documents that need to exist updated but so far and then skillful.  No errors in the Event Viewer, every services are starting as they should and some preliminarily tests are successful.
